This is pretty short notice but I just thought of it. Our club here in Burbank, The Green Guard, are having a get-together tomarrow (Saturday) to play 40k and introduce new players to Necromunda. A short Apoc game may be played (3k points) but I am unsure of that. Feel free to bring any point value. I myself am not quite ready to field my 1850 so I'll probably just go with my 1500 list .

Place: Emerald Knights ( http://www.ekcomicsandgames.com/ )
Location: 4116 W. Burbank Blvd. Burbank, CA (near the corner of Pass and Burbank)
Time: Open 'till closing! 11:00 am until 9:00 pm
Space: about 7 40K sized tables (more accurately, about 14 tables we can push together)
Parking: Parking lot in the alley but honestly not very much.

Other info:

Player age: I am expecting a pretty young group. Mainly mid-teens some a bit younger. (I myself am only 18) along with a few "adults".
TFGs: 1 but he's pretty tame. He'll probably be playing Necromunda all day.
Armies: Honestly a bit MEQ heavy but I'll be there with my Eldarz and hopefully our resident Tau player will show. (He's only like 10 but from what I heard games with him are really fun).
Rules!: We have no house rules but I do ask that you please try to help the younger players and even myself. We are all pretty new to this and are a bit slow. I hope this doesn't stop anyone from coming.

Feel free to bring your own food/drinks and don't feel pressured to buy anything, the owners are really cool.

Once again, sorry for the really late notice and I will try to be more prompt.

Oh and if you want to identify me I will probably be painting downstairs or playing 40k upstairs. I will be wearing an Emerald Knights shirt and playing/painting Eldar.

Awsome, Francisco (Joetaco) and I (Tyler) will be playing DnD 3.5 so, though we may not have time for 40k, we shall still be there!

This sounds like what I need some newbies learning to play 40K. I play with my nephew when he can. I haven't had any luck with pick up games at the Glendale GW and LGS in Pasadena. My screen name is also my yahoo email and I did sgn up the ekcomics and games website. Playting Eldar right but you know what happens in April.

I swing by the Glendale store every so often, and i am in the process of painting up my new nid army. Once that is done i would be more than willing to try and get a game rolling there. Saturday mornings is my usual GW time. I am not a new player though, but would willing to get a game or two in on my nids at some point. If you make a BA army i would really like to play against that. I am trying to convince my buddy to make the army just so i could get a game in against them

over 2000pts of each :

You might have more luck with your friend. I don't have a lot of time for the hobby part of this game so it took me nine months to make my Eldar army to 2K points. I have more then 2K but I can't use them all in a regular game. I rarely visit the GW store on a saturday anymore. In fact I usally sleep late on saturdays.
