Do you dilute it, when stripping plastic models? 'Nuff said.

A great review on simple green as well as how it was uses was found here. http://www.stonypointrefugees.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=24

Its a Local clubs forum, I personally have used simple green to strip plastic, and I have used undiluted simple green in a jar and I have seen no damage or loss of detail on the mini being stripped.

Best of luck!

I can't seem to find anywhere that stocks Simple Green in the UK.

Does anyone know anywhere that does?

Or an equivalent UK product?

Go about a page back in the Painting Tutorials thread, and there is a thread called "An End to the Stripping Question" (or something similar). It has a UK-based guide on stripping plastic models.

i don't dilute it, just straight from the container, and i've not had any problems with it

Much better then simple green. You dont dilute it, and it lasts forever. It takes paint off of plastic/metal minis with ease, and leaves them looking brand new again.

If I may,I'd like to add a quick question as well (sorry not trying to thread jack),does anyone know what effects simple green will have on green stuff?
I've used it with great results on various minis, but I have a few I'd like to strip that have quite a bit of green stuff on them, and I'm wondering what the effects may be.

i stripped a few things with some greenstuff work recently, and honestly, i didn't notice any real effect on the greenstuff, granted i only soaked the models for a day or so, a longer soak might have an effect

Thanks man,I'll drop a "test" mini for a brief time and work from that point.

Another product to use if you can't get simple green is fairy power spray. It works very well and is much easier to find in the uk.
