It the C'Tan found the location of the hive mind could they eat its soul? Do nids have souls? Would it be too much for even a God to eat?

Doesn't the definition of "Hive Mind" contradict the idea that it exists in a single location?

I always assumed that the "Hive Mind" was simply the collective consciousness of the Tyranids as a whole (with larger, more advanced creatures having more autonomy & influence, obviously).
