Stemming from other things I've seen.

after seeing the armour in the 'armour through the ages' models, I must ask.

Gathering the Informations.

Confused as to what you're asking mate.

Are you asking have those specific marks ever been done before in model form?
If that's what you're meaning...
I'd assume so, or at least portrayed at some point in the artwork and background of 40k.

Earliest I've have are 2nd ed marines and they wear Mk6.

Trade rules: lower rep trades ships 1st. - I ship within 2 business days, if it will be longer I will contact you & explain. - I will NOT lie on customs forms, it's a felony, do not ask me to mark sales as "gifts". Free shipping applies to contiguous US states.

They actually did make miniatures for all marks of armor, I think.

Under the couch

The original RT Marines were in what is now Mk6 or 'Corvus' pattern armour.

Mk7 was introduced towards the end of RT, and became the standard for 2nd edition. I believe the other Marks were also introduced around the same time as Mk7, but while they had a couple of models made for each, they were really just there for fluff. None of them were ever standard in the game.

Yeah, there are models of each Mk. in the back of the 2nd edition marine codices. Of course they're all long OOP.

Me: I can turn it down, if the screams of dying orks are annoying you.
Her: That's ok, I love hearing the screams of dying orks.

My armies (W-D-L):
2,000 (about 1,200 painted and now I'm feeling the call of Russ) 3-4-3
2,000 (about 1,000 painted, WiP) 0-1

Mk 6 & 7 are the only marks with sufficient available models to build armies from, the other marks are novelties.

Fluffwise, MK4 was coming in at the start of the heresy and replaced with mk5 during it. mk3 and earlier was all pre-heresy.

That possess what? Enough armor of older marks for all their troops!? The Grey Knights and Black Templars are both successor chapters, they wouldn't have as much access to older mark armor as the founding chapters.

I think he might mean mk.8, though omitting it makes the post quite the mystery...

In any case, BT don't have that much mk.8.

Well flipping through me Specialsist and collectors range catalog from a couple years back 2005 - 2006 era the armor through the ages models were sold as single models then grouped together for the armor of the ages. Although they seem to be missing the metal model Mk6 armor. There was two different variants of it

first rank fire second rank fire!
