I am thinking of doing a Chaos IG unit for EPIC. Think traitor guard initially which might evolve into an LATD thing.

Color scheme ideas for the troops? I am not really certain how to distinguish traitor guard for normal guard except
*different tanks (more advanced looking)
*same for Basilisks and maybe vultures/valkyrie (they are sweet models).
Mostly thinking about the paint schemes for the troops. Any ideas?

Flesh = zombie colored. Pale and putrid , almost like starting to rot.

Armor = dark gray or dusty black , with yellow shoulder pad with danger stripe

It depends on how exactly you're meaning "Traitor Guard", Frazzled.
Are they freshly turned, with all their original equipment still intact(just defaced and corrupted)?
Are they an elite Cult unit that has been subverted?
Are they associated with a specific warband, or a stand-alone?

For the most part:
Traitor Guard tend towards wearing standard fatigues and armor...just with the aquilas and other Imperial insignia defiled.

I think a german wwII colour scheme would excellent on traitor guard. Also, think about your backround for them. If they worship khorne, your not going to find bubblegum pink armour! Likewise, a nurgle army will have greens and browns,(maybe grey) with mold growing on their equipment, and festering wounds. If all these ideas aren't helping, just paint them in a generic black and say they follow abbadon.

Be sure to assign them to a chaos god too. You can base their color scheme off of the god you chose.

i like the idea of chaos guard. i wish they were mentioned in the chaos codex or somthing

It would be an actual chaos world. Think a Sabbat crusade planet that has been free from the Imperium for some time.

Oh man I have the perfect colors for you then, if you want to use an actual warband from the Sabbat Worlds.

Blood Pact are something everyone knows.
The Infardi would be cool, but then the real winner in all this?

You'd want:
Ochre yellow body armor.
Brown fatigues.
Ochre helmets+weapons.

i use three color schemes in my chaos guard army to give a riff raff look.

now this would start at EPIC. My 40K guard would be a future project.

I don't know the colors for Blood Pact or Infardi, will check. but, yes I remember Sons of Sek.

That's how I've always figured the Sons of Sek were, and the few bits of artwork I have are similar.
