I don't play dark eldar but i really think they should update them. Like seriously why would they keep making space marines and just leave dark eldar in 2nd edition. I can't believe they still have them in 2nd edtion when space marines have like a massive codex and keep getting updates. I know space marines are like the most popular and the story surrounds them or what ever but like they really need to get some new dark eldar stuff. Also the miniatures aren't very appealing.

Apparently I have to have 2 poll options so the ohter one is just no update.

meh, Space Marines sell so if you don't update them people will whine. There are no dark eldar players who suck because al of the dark eldar players have been playing them since 2nd edition and are pro with them.
Lots of codexes are behind if they do dark eldar then they'll need to demon hunters and witch hunters. Then the 3rd edition people will complain that they're the oldest and so on and so forth.

In conclusion they should update what is selling consistently and use any downtime to update the rest

Dark Eldar are 3rd Edition. I have the 3rd Edition codex, and it has had about 8 million updates to it via Chapter Approved.
What they really need to do is just compile all of that information, and they'd have a halfway decent codex.

Not trying to sound stupid but if they are 3rd edition then why is it that they have second edition on their codex?

They updated the Codex slightly (changed some Wych rules, a few other minor tweaks) at some point ... IIRC, somewhere during 4th edition. And so they slapped a '2nd Edition' badge on the front to denote the revised version.


Meanwhile, I'm not actually seeing a point to this thread. The proposed rules forum is for discussing changes to the rules, or house rules that you would like to develop, not for polls asking whether people think an army should be updated.
