**Smashotron**

Fluffwise, there is typically a single Chaplain per Company of Marines. Your rule would allow Chaplains at a squad-level similar to Priests in the Imperial Guard. Unfortunately (IMO) Chaplains are far to powerful to be allowed in a MEQ army at squad-level. I do feel there should be a Master Chaplain, but his rule should do something not so OP.

Rulewise, you can take as many HQs you want in Apocalypse so you would not require your Crusader rule.

I'd up his attacks to 3, give him some better form of Liturgies.

His ability to take a lot of chaplins isnt worth much, as chaplins are one of the weakest HQs (the other being CM. Libby and SC's are best, Captain and MotF are good for certain builds - all biker and dreadbash)

If its apoc, any number of chaplins can already be taken.

With 3 attacks, 3++, better liturgies (eg: can chose to reroll hits OR wounds) then 180 points.

EDIT: If you created a Non-FOC model similar to Ministorium Priest and not as strong as Chaplains, that would be cool.

I like it, but maybe for the crusader rule make it 0-2 or something extra Chaplains, and you can only have 1 per army.

Chaplains at squad level would be very powerful. How about instead of not taking up a FoC slot crusader allows chaplains to be feilded as either HQ or elites? Allows for an increase of chaplains from 2 to 5 (including the special one) without allowing chaplains in every single squad.
