Kind of like lord of the rings. Wouldn't star wars be pretty cool? I'd really like to see droid models

If you really need a fix this already exists. It is just pre-painted and in random boosters. Not a bad game though.

And that was V2 of a Star Wars miniatures game (there was also Star Wars miniatures battles in 25mm back in the 90s). It was by West end Games (IIRC).

Not even HASBRO could make a star wars miniatures game work these days - so if you're hoping for a GW version - they can't afford the bid process.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

it'll be a good time to buy the minis this summer. after the last set is released and the casual collectors/players who don't lurk in the online forums find out it's cancelled when they're picking up their boosters, a large chunk of them will dump their collections. for a good 6+ months, the SWM will be pretty cheap. at least, that's what happened when d&d minis completely changed format and dumped the skirmish game.

To be fair, it was doing pretty darn well for a while. From some rumours, it was outselling Dungeons and Dragons miniatures for a while.

Even now, it's only speculation as to whether it was dropped because it wasn't performing, or simply because WotC are doing poorly generally and chose to tighten up and focus on their core ranges (D&D and Magic).

I fell out of love with Star Wars after Episodes I-III. Still enjoy the older films, but don't think I'd be drawn to a game using the licence.

not too much into actually playing the game if there was. I'd just like to look at the droid models. I think they have a lot of potential. Or perhaps some sort of wh40k drone based army. Just a race of rogue machinery.

Something like LOTR with star wars miniatures... I really really like the idea. But GW had a terrible bad idea and bought LOTR.
I'm waiting for this summer to buy Star Wars miniatures on ebay .
