From what I can see of the trailer, the movie doesn't look that bad. I'm hoping it'll be good.
Also, you can find a bunch of references to the older movies, such as the girl flying into the ceiling from the first movie, the bathtub scene, and, of course, the boiler room and the creepy little jump rope girls.

That fella who played rorshack in the watchmen is playing freddy. I heard a rumor at one point it was gonna be billy bob thorton.
I always thought it would be cool to see a elm st prequel movie that's just all about Freddy when he was alive and how the parents stopped him and stuff like that. Nothing to do with dreams or nightmares, no corney 1 liners, a different kind of movie I guess more of a story about a murderer than a story about a demony guy that haunts your dreams. all taking place in the real world.
While I usually hate horror movie remakes (like the cinematic turd that was Rob Zombie's Halloween), this doesn't look that bad. And with Micheal Bay at the helm, we're sure to see some epicsplosions as well.
I hope we get to see some more prick teens dragged along ceilings.
People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.
