It would be nice to add warrior numbers in each squad. Get a second monolith and loads more destroyers of both types.

BTW: whats the point of this topic?

Mud company 2000 pts.
Colonel Hermann Winter's Armoured fist 1500 pts.
Armored battlegroup 1750 pts.
Death korps of Krieg 4000 pts.
FoW germans 5000 pts.
BFG Imperial fleet 2500 pts.
Necromunda gang 2500 credits
Easterlings and Harad LotR 1300 pts.

Drop Monolith, the C'tan and the flayed ones.

Get immortals and heavy destroyers.

Q: How many of a specific demographic group are required to carry out a simple task?
A: An arbitrary number. One to carry out the task in question, and the remainder to act in a manner stereotypical of the group.

The actual point of this forum is for others to provide feedback to army lists, without the full information this would be difficult.

Problems with the list is flayed ones. Only 6 and they won't last long. Not enough destroyers to threaten much, and the deceiver and monolith are making up 1/4 of your points of none Necrons.

i dont really understand the logic behind this, im not saying anything bad, but the monolith and c'tan are working out well in my army, especially during gameplay. Im ok with the FOs, but for now im keeping it low on the purchasing, but i am planning to get some heavy destroyers or 1 or 2 tomb spyders, though i cant really decide thanks a lot though

oh and on addition i will probably stop by my local gaming club to pick up some FOs

I cannot see how 6 flayed ones will last. They only get 2 attacks and have no invulnerable saves. I would seriously drop this because of low unit size and they just aren't that good in combat.

Hope that helps btw.

Flayed Ones are one of the best units available to Necrons in 5th, even in small numbers.

I wouldn't change a thing in the list, but I have to ask, why 2014pts?

I always like a Destroyer Lord flying around with my Wraiths, personally, but I agree that Flayed Ones in groups of 6-7 are actually very effective.

You might want to trim a few warriors (6 I think?) to fill that Destroyer Squad up to 5, makes them a lot harder to keep down when there are more bodies giving We'll Be Back checks.

If you drop to scarab bases, you can give them all Disruptor Fields. Always a pleasant surprise for an opponent.

i think ill give a few tweeks here and there, ill maybe even add some disruptor fields, though ive NEVER used them and if any1 can remind me how to use them, i would really appreciate it.

6 on the armor penetration roll is auto-glance on vehicles, similar to the gauss effect.

S'about the only way they can affect vehicles, given their low str...but it's like 2 points per base (and each base is 3 attacks) so it's not a bad deal at all.

Also, that should be: "If you drop TWO scarab bases, you can give them all..."

Large necron army needs loads of destroyers of both types to work. About 10-15.

I think monolith is necessary.

Mud company 2000 pts.
Colonel Hermann Winter's Armoured fist 1500 pts.

Replace the Nightbringer with the Deceiver, virtually similar in terms of CC prowess and the Deceiver's special abilities are just more useful.

Get a Lord in their (or lots of immortals, your pick) with a rez-orb.

If your having lots of warriors, keep the monolith and get a second if not; Drop it and get 3x2 heavy destroyers.

Drop the flayed ones for more destroyers.

This would be my advice as a veteran punching bag for a Necron player.

Too be fair.. it's all worked out quite well!

The Deceiver is only better because he is cheaper. The Nightbringer has more attacks, better options for attacking, and a 24" assault lascannon(this army is lacking in anti-tank so you need it.)
