say you've got a full ravenwing attack squad consisting of 6 bikes, a speeder, and an attack bike (hey, it comes in one box from GW so you'll see them!) and you're playing a dawn of war mission. can you deploy the unit at all? the ravenwing rules say "much like combat squads", the attack bike and speeder count as a separate unit once deployed so this one troops force org choice is technically 3 "units" minimum, 4 "units" if you choose to actually combat squad the regular bikes. according to their faq referencing combat squads, you can't split the squad with part of it deploying and the other part in reserve... so, can you ever deploy a full ravenwing squad in dawn of war?

Nope, you're going to wind up with 4 units on the board, which is against the rules for DoW.

yeah, i figured as much (hence my reasoning in the OP). i was just hoping to get some more use out of the ravenwing squad. i guess the attack bike attachments are staying in the bits box.
