Is the Dakka Swap Shop safe to use? Anybody ever got ripped off?

There are pleanty of threads where people have had issues & got ripped off. Most people who trade there are usually pretty good though. When dealing with someone new check the reputable traders list to see if they have had traders with others. Find out if they have ebay or another service under the same name that you can establish their identity. On larger trades I like to exchange a dollar over paypal to establish a verifed address.

I think there are other tips in one of the sticky articles in the swap shop. I have may sucessful trades here on dakka, just use common since, don't send your minis out if you know nothing about the user.
