So I've played about every army against players that know the army and know how to use them all except The Sisters of battle. Not because there isn't an army around, cause he lives down the stairs from me but because the player is a cheater and doesnt know the game rules or his own codex after 4 years of playing. A) In a 500 point tournament he organized for a small group of us he has a pretty strong army that had a Canoness with inferno pistol power weapon and Cloak of St. Aspire. An Callidus Assassin. Two units of of Battle sisters each with 11 models 1 Veteran Sister Superior with a plasma pistol and two melta guns. and a Exorcist. It seemed like a solid list to me and just thought me stretched his points and had practiced like the rest of us but that army actually comes to 685 points. Also you can't even bring an assassin without an inquisitor in your army.
So after my bitching what my question is what are some effective ways to fight the sisters of battle? I was hoping to get response from both Space wolves and a Witchhunter player.
Much thanks

i fought sisters of battle alot with my nids, i play my chaos alot atm though. I would say use alot of either power weps, or s 5-6 weps. s8 weps will be waisted because of their toughness imo. watchout for all of their special powers, it can actualy be taticly good if you kill most of a unit of sisters and let the rest live because is (i beieve its called the sister superior) is still alive then ur oppenet will have less faith point to use.

Their biggest weakness, from what I recall...since my own SoB army is on hiatus, is range. Excluding the exorcist the farthest reach any unit has is 24" for a multi-melta or 36" for a Hvy bolter. If a player uses their faith points right Sisters can be a bear in CC, not unbreakable but a tough opponent none the less.
Secondly I'd say their next weakness is being perceived as cheap SM, either by the person playing them or playing against them.

I play Sisters. Most Sisters players are fully-mech, so make sure you have plenty of anti-Rhino firepower. Exorcists will make short work of your own transports, or of any MEQs in the open, so stick to cover and try to take them out ASAP. Once the Sisters get in close, you can kiss your squads goodbye. We do not care about your pathetic Sv3+! Your best bet is to get them out of their vehicles then assault them. Sisters can tarpit with the best of them, but will not put up a better fight than Firewarriors. Large squads (10+) are extremely dangerous to get into a shooting match with (I have had Marines rapid fire my squad, then melt when I rapid fire back), while small squads (5-) are likely to throw up Invulnerable saves and negate the benefits of Plasma/Power Weapons/etc. Lots of dice wins the day vs Sisters long before high-quality attacks will (hence why Orks make me cry).
If it is a competitive list, expect to see Immolator-spam with allied Guard Platoons dragging obscene numbers of Autocannons, to make up for the Sisters long-range weakness. If you see this... good luck.

Pretty much what Elric has said.
The pros of the army are that it's got accurate shooting at mid to short range, does weird stuff (via the Faith Point Abilities), can move reasonably quick and load out enough burny stuff to hurt vehicles or troops at short range.
The cons pretty much sit with the fact that Sisters are T3 and generally lack long range fire power with only two options for it. Their power armour save definitely helps, but they're not Marines and that lower toughness means they take more saving throws.
On a semi-related note, they also have some of the coolest models in the game.

As a space wolf player i win most my games in close combat but i may be able to get a couple squads of long fang and some grey hunters sporting all those nice things wolfs have. I do not play a mech army partly because i dont have enough rhinos for all my army and also because Like Russ did i shall fight on foot. I am going to be buying Tau soon also (because i have well over 5000 points in wolves) so from what ive been told by all of you long range will be the death of the sisters?
