This was the tourney army I used. I think it was a pretty sturdy list, however it did not win so much. But I will admit it was my fault. I blame it on a little nervousness(first GT ever) and being a poor general. I have learned my lessons and I am gonna be ready for next time.

A few changes I think I'm gonna make will be replacing the whole platoon aspect and replacing those pts. for some more Chimeras with flamers and multi-lasers for all my vet squads, adding one more melta or plasma vet squad, and if I have room maybe another heavy support choice. What do you dudes think?

Cheers!

Your line squads have no ranged weaponry, I would move the lascannons to your line squads.
Points saved could almost buy another line squad with a lascannon and vox.

Nice army btw,

I would also move the off color ven to the middle of the the three for your display. optional...

I'm not sure if I even like the platoon in there. I used it more to sit on objectives and give cover fire to my vets.I think I'm just gonna take out the whole platoon all-together.

I'm gonna just run it all Mech. I'm looking at 4 more Chimeras w/multi-laser and flamers, 1 more Vet squad with lascannon, 3 plasmas, and maybe something else that I can't think of right now.

The platoon could be pretty effective, I wouldn't take it out without trying is first in a few diferent configurations.

Namelly I agree with Tarval, drop both the HWS, give the LC to each of the squads in the platton. If you blob it up you can drop all but 1 of the vox casters as well and you'll still get better Ld and a re-roll to orders that you wouldn't have if you used HWS.

Also I don't like the Punisher, if you wan't a light armour busting tank, why not use the far superior Exterminator with Pask? But my advice yould be to replace it with either a Plasmacutioner or a Plasmolisher.

Oh, and I would also drop the LC from your Vet squad, you'll wan't to move most of the game with them (at least I would), so those 20 points are a bit wasted IMO. And also drop the OotF.

The points that you saved in this way, I would use to give Demolition to one of the Melta vets running in the Vendettas (for possible 1st turn alpha-strike capability against stuff like LR and BW), maybe buy a comissar to one of your platoon squads and PW to your platoon sargeants, give some Flamers or Meltas to your PCS.

Problem with the CCS is its a small unit and full of meltas so you have little room for wonud allocation, also when they move in for the kill they'll get slaughtered next turn. At least with vets they can whether the wounds, some times. I would perhaps try plasma guns with a medi kit to help with those feel no pain rolls, works for me well. Also a heavy flamer on the chimera hull works well against hordes, units in cover and you do not need to worry bout the guards not so hot ballistic skill.

The infantry platoon doesn't serve much purpose in this mech list, what exactly is it meant to do?

Having plasma guns and a lascannon in a chimera means you cannot move and shoot so it acts as a firing bunker. You really want to move it to get into range so you can rapid fire. The other plasma gun unit I would give a chimera; a vendetta doesn't serve much purpose for them as well as melta vets.

The punisher is robbing loads of points from this list and tbh isn't that good. It has no ap so units will get a save and it just costs too much. A demolisher is good for tank busting and anti infantry, a battle tank is good for anti infantry and light armour.

Never been a fan of manticores. I'd rather take a colossus for cheaper points and allow now cover saves and smash power armour too.

btw - nice army!
