I just made a doomsday device and just wondered if i should use it in my next game against tau. I also have a few questions.

1) After turn 6, (assuming the game lasts that long,) does it do something automatically or do you still have to roll a 2+?

2) And also can you deploy it anywhere on the battlefield or do you still have to be within your teams deployment zone?

Please help?

The standard reply is, its apocalypse so work it out for yourself, but since I'm feeling helpful...

You can only deploy stuff in your own deployment zone unless it has a special rule that allows it to do otherwise, which the doomsday device doesnt.

The doomsday device activates on a score of 7 when you roll a d6 and add the turn number, so on turn 6 you rolld 1d6 and add 6..giving you at least 7.

You should use it just because you get to be an evil overlord, and thats cool in itself.

If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live?

I've built 3 and I'm planning on strategic re-doploying it into the enemy army while strategic redeploying myself away when it's about to det (1 turn warning).

And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.

You just couldn't handle the truth. God knows why anyone would want that cookie anyway. I can only imagine what foul demons possess such a thing as to make it stand on its side like that. I prefer my cookies horizontal and without eternal damnation. - Ridcully

Either that or take a 4+ cover save from all of GW's red tape blocking LoS to the way to play it. - Kitzz

It's immobile.....you can't strategically redeploy it....

That's like saying you can use SR to move immobilized vehicles....

I loved mines when I used it. It turned on turn one and wackyness errupted. I demand was to bring back the Rainbo wariors Chaper, but for Chaos.

And whilst you're pointing and shouting at the boogeyman in the corner, you're missing the burglar coming in through the window.

Well, Duh! Because they had a giant Mining ship. If you had a giant mining ship you would drill holes in everything too, before you'd destory it with a black hole
