Yes, I do mean Love songs. Not necessarily the overly sentimental tripe that pop groups churn out (oooooh girly girl, you're my worldy girl, that sort of crap) but proper honest to goodness Love Songs that seem to accurately affect how this most bizarre and illogical of emotions feels to you.
I have two myself. First one is an absolute classic, Love Will Tear Us Apart, by Joy Division. Shan't link you to this one, as it's well known enough that I'd imagine you've heard it before several times and probably rate it as highly as I do. From Ian Curtis' genuine vocals (he was reputedly going through a rough time in his marriage) to the heart beat rhythym of the drums, it seems to encapsulate love at it's most frustrating. The aforementioned drums really make this song for me, as the lyrics are delivered in a very detached way, as if the person in question is trying to think clearly, and devoid of emotion, whilst the Drums like the heart beat a loud tattoo in the chest. Absolutely magnificent all in all.
Second one, I suspect you may not have heard (particularly if you're not British), and that is F.E.E.L.I.N.G.C.A.L.L.E.D.L.O.V.E. by Pulp, from their breakthrough (and really rather superb) album Different Class. Again rather than some mushy crap, I find it reminds me of those times I have been in love, and just how much it affects you. Here's a link to it. Sorry about the video (unless of course you're a fan of the series) but just switch off/close your screen and listen...
Again, it's the lyrics, vocals and music which combine so well that make this great. As they head into the chorus, the voice of self doubt is there, like when you stand on the precipice, questioning what it is you actually feel, then a split second later, you realise you've already taken the leap. Absolutely top notch stuff from Mr Cocker once again.

Oh, Trash is another good one. Perhaps not a traditional love song, and possibly more about friendship, but a wonderful song nonetheless (that is of course, The London Suede for our Septic chums.)

I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.

If you think your important, in the great scheme of things. Do the water test.
Put your hands in a bucket of warm water,
then pull them out fast. The size of the hole shows how important you are.
I think we should roll some dice, to see if we should roll some dice, To decide if all this dice rolling is good for the game.

his guitaring is so perfect and the lyrics are really mature... not some angsty teen thing but kind of actually beautiful and meant, instead of just expressed and whined about. I plan on having it played at my wedding
I'm both chaotic and orderly. I value my own principles, and am willing to go to extreme lengths to enforce them, often trampling on the very same principles in the process. At best, I'm heroic and principled; at worst, I'm hypocritical and disorderly.
Lots of good songs here I must say. Butmy all time favorit love song is this, It is a cover song but its way more romantic than the first one. And its the song I lisend to when I meet my missus, witch gives me peace at minde and makes my days worth getting true.
