Hey guys!

I want to run a couple of Broodlords in my new Tyranid army I am putting together. I am planning to use the genestealers from the recently re-released Space Hulk. The Broodlord that comes with the game is pretty darn awesome and I am thinking about putting him on a 40 mm round base. I was wondering if people here are okay with that or if there are good reasons not to do that. Since I plan to run two Broodlords I am also considering mounting the pewter mini GW released for the original Broodlord also on a 40 mm round base for consistency and also modeling/conversions. So what do you think? Would you be okay with that or not?

I thought the broodlord came on a 40mm base anyway...

EDIT: It does, notice the first picture of the army. Broodlord is witht he 'stealers.

Something I do that you may want to consider is running lictors/deathleapers as broodlords as well, as long as you don't include any lictors or death leapers in your army list (to avoid confusion). I find it's an easier way to use what i consider very cool looking models, and the weapons (scytal/rending claws) are wysiwyg.

Naw man, just take a 40mm base, carve out the middle and stick the base inside.

Or mount the base on top of the 40mm, build up to the smaller base with green stuff/whatever, flock the 40mm to match to smaller one.

I have been doing this with old Terminators and it works fine.
