13 Stronos pattern Razorbacks



I had to strip 1 ML of each of the Devs to fit the Captain and Command squad. That 5 left over could be a melta bomb or a storm bolter, whatever.

I wonder how this would stack up against the infamous SW list of similar proportion....

Nice idea. Need adjust on details.

E.g. Libby would be better than naked captain.

Get Kantor in there and have scoring Stern in their Razors .

I think one needs a Captain to get acces to a command squad.

As for the list itself... it's a MSU army and comes with the pros and cons of it.
Usage and application of the firepower it has min/max is paramount and the only opponents to worry you will be those that can pull off congaline/combo charges consistantly.
I feel it's a problem because of the congestion on the board with so many metal boxes.

Okay, so I did some harder looking over the codex, and I found that instead of

Devestator x 5, RL x 3, Razorback

you could do

Vanguard Veteran x 5, Razorback

and save 10 points per (and use FA slots instead of Heavys). I don't know what you'd do with that extra 30 points, but hey, it's all theoretical anyway.

Yes, the Captain is just a way to get the Command Squad. You could do a plain Master with Honor Guard since they can take a Razorback for just 25 points more. Maybe that's what I'd do with it. Take off the Melta bombs, upgrade to Master and Honor Guard, and take the remainder of 10 and get Hellfire Rounds or something equally as useless to the list. lol

And each VV squad has a PW stock, and the Champion and two HG all have PW as well.

TBH I don't think it's that good....

Captain doesn't add anything and the command squad aren't doing anything.

The tacticals can't do anything besides shoot infantry.

The dev's cannot fire from razorbacks so are in the same position as normal devs.

I know the point is to spam razorbacks and I'm not sure if you've put wargear up because this is just a thought, but really you need to go over a few things and make the list better instead of having a compo to see how many razorbacks you can fit in.

the way i see it is every unit is highly specilized.

The Razorbacks are the anti-armor/MEQ that the army is lacking at first glance. 13 lascannons and 13 TL plasma guns is more then a "balanced" list can get normally

The Tac squads and command squad are the anti-infantry it needs. 36 bolters can pump out alot of shots.

The Sternguard and Devestators are the only dual purpose units i see. Sternguard can hit MEQs or MCs with special ammo and the Devs can pop tanks or support the tac squads.


The redundency of the list also makes any one units loss inconsequential as there is another just like it.

Space wolves do it better.

Where does it say lascannons? I jsut saw razorback but just saw stronos pattern, is that lascannons?

Stronos is one Lascannon and one Twin linked Plasma gun. They are seperate weapons for the purpose of Weapon destroyed results

13 Lascannon/TL Plasmagun Razorbacks is just silly, but in no way lacking in Anti-Tank. Jeebus, sometimes I wonder if people giving Space Marine advice have even read the codex....

lol I like plenty I know it's a theory but I would have thought you'd put wargear etc. I did a killa kan wall theory and put wargear.

I didn't know they has lascannons. I just thought they was heavy bolters because it said razorbacks.....

Perhaps next time you should write your list properly, yes?

The wargear IS listed, as well. There is none. Except the meltabombs. Which are clearly listed.
