Okay...what is your play style? You have two lists that fall under different ways to approach the same problem. A kan walker list, and a mech get thar quik list. Both have a solid backing of units and support, BUT tweaking is needed on both.

Mech List- Trukk boyz should be slugga and choopa. BW boyz should be shootas. Reason? Well the trukk boyz are more expendable and easily killed, so all your really going to do is throw them once at an opponent and prey(pray?) they werk. Shoota boyz in the BW will provide high volume fire in a mobile carrier. Definately a better setup than say in a smaller squad (same reasoning to mass lootas).

You have 5 troop choices that can score objectives in the mech list. I'd say remove a squad of boyz from a BW and throw in as many burnas as you can. Why? The easiest solution to anything horde-ish. BW rides up to opponents, smashes face with 9-10 templates of doom, and presto, insta cooked squad.

Kommandos are a fine suprise for enemies, but I would really find points to add the obligatory bosspole there somewhere.

I would split the koptas into two squads, and give each a buzzsaw. They are yout suicide pop the transport/weak armor side of a tank squad and shouldn't be more heavily invested than that.

Everything else on list is fine for me, although if you can, get an extra loota and split the squad into 2 5 man groups (1 less boy in each trukk just in case your HQs need to hop another transport?)

Walker list-

See buzzsaw Koptas from above.

The ideal setup for Orks in a walker list are shootas. They have 18 inches of dakka as oppossed to 12 from a pistol. You lose an extra swing in kombat, but gain two shots from your orks at a longer range. Definately worth it.

Equip that deffdread with scorchas if you can. Big shootas ae usually a waste for it to have.

Remove the grot squad, and add a few big shootas to the ork rank and file. That is my personal opinion, but you already have alot of troops already. Still, grots are a good late objective getter and loota screen.

As for which list to go against, well none are too easy to take on. Each comes with it's own vices (weaker ork squads in the first list, walking in the second). And opponents have to approach each list differently in order to win.

I'd go for second list. Problem with the first is it's got trukks and a fair amount of orks on foot. Only orks on foot should be lootas, really, and that's because they can go in terrain and shoot from afar.

The other list makes a much better kan wall list. Though drop the warboss and get another big mek so your army isn't all bunched together to benefit from the cover save.

Thanks for the replies so far.

The first list doesn't have that much on foot? The Lootas and Grots, but the grots are a shield for the Lootas and for base objective camping. I guess you mean the Kommando's but they'll be outflanking and are likely to only join the party once the boys in the trukks and battle wagons have got it started.

Once again thanks for your input though. Keep it coming!

Grots, lootas and kommandos are on foot? Lootas don't need a grot shield, you put kommandos in cover high up to over see the entire board.
