This is the list that I'm bringing to 'Ard Boyz. Its completely built and painted with the exception of one Vendetta which is still in the box. I'd like to see what other IG players are also planning on bringing so if you're willing, please also post your list.

Straken is nearly useless with your list due to a lack of bodies. Along with his command squad of conflicting weapon types. They should prolly be all meltas due to their higher BS.

Dozer blades really unecessary and a points sink

Also, your squads just seem to have unecessary upgrades that do little such as power weapons on sergeants and plasma pistols.

Heavy bolter sponsons on either valk or vendettas are completely and utterly useless, even more so on vendettas. By putting those on and using them (which, you can really only ever get one to fire anyways) just gives your opponent wounds that he can take an armor save on and put the lascannon wounds on something irrelevant. If going against a vehicle, they are nearly useless again.

I'd drop one of the executioners for another lone hydra or maybe a medusa with breacher shells and enclosed top. I would almost go as far to say drop both the executioners on the grounds that they are a giant point sink and at 2500, you want a giant glass cannon to make your opponent sumbit.

Also, some interesting things to try as well are Psyker Battle Squads teamed up with a callidus assassin and/or hereticus inquisitor with divine pronouncement. Against fearless armies, you have the inq with crusaders and him with power wep and invul.

Anyways, just my 2 cents and kind of an idea about how i play.

First off, thanks for taking a look and posting.

Second, I'm not really looking for advice, just want to compare to other lists people are bringing. Additionally, I think a lot of your advice is terrible

Are you planning on playing at 'Ard Boyz with Imperial Guard? If so, post your list if you're willing

You mention that most of it is painted and assembled.

I think you should either strip all the paint off, or just respray your entire army primer black...for that authentic 'ard boyz feel.

Seriously? Those guys ride in a Vendetta. If a unit Deep Strikes within 4D6 inches of the Vendetta, I can pick any of my units within 12" of the Vendetta to immediately take a free shot (Deep Striking units tend to not like 5 Plasma Cannon blasts, being all bunched up together and all).

Yeah, I'm not familiar with the special options and stuffs for the Daemon Hunters, I'm more of a Witch Hunter myself. Sounds like a solid strategy.

Well, I more plan on keeping them back in a chimera near my gunline to target one of my heavy support units. Putting a thing in a vendetta labels it for an early death.

I agree and if I have a Chimera to spare that's where they'd be.

You should look into getting a Tarot. Tarot and Vendettas go together like spaghetti and tuna.

Instead of relying on going first I just reserve and use the astropath

Haha, wow you take offense so easily. No hashness was intended, I was replying to your post with my mobile in a middle of a meeting. I was going for brevity.

Also, although some of what Nenya97 said was accurate (I freely admit to some questionable choices), a lot of it was plain terrible, having no understanding of duality or unit interactions or just how to run the list. I could have spent time replying and breaking it down point by point, but, as I said in my first post, I just wanted to collect IG 'Ard Boyz lists for comparison.

I responded to you as you began to take the thread off-topic because I thought you presented minor points and would allow the thread to continue. Sadly I was mistaken.

If that is your intent for this thread, I suggest that you repost it in 40k general discussion.
