So, this list is totally out there, but it's something that I've had floating around in my mind since I picked up the army book.

The idea, basically, is lots of big gribblies. That's about it. I also like the idea of Ogres Shooting (weird, I know). So, that said, here's my weak as heck but delightfully fun 2250 Ogre List.

Now, I know that a list like this doesn't leave much room for changes, since it's basically a wishlist, but what I'd like are some comments from people more used to Fantasy than I about suggestions on how to play it. As far as tactics, I've pretty much just decided that the trappers surround a big daddy hunter so they can stand and shoot in his defense and the tyrant + giants get crumpin'.

If there's anything at all to say, comment away!

The slave giants will probably disappoint you.

If you like the idea of shooting, replace one of them with hand-gun armed man eaters.

You'll be well served to figure out some way to hide that butcher and tyrant.

They'll be picked out by war machine fire as your list stands now. A banner and look-out in one of those bull units would cover them.

I think that the skull mantle is a better item than the bangstikk for your butcher. You probably don't have enough magic to get through the enemy's dispel dice, so the bangstikk will be dispelled frequently. The skull mantle will make the enemy take fear tests vs your butcher's unit at a -1.

I agree with jshbchnn on the giants, they're kinda fun but just not worth the points, and there is a few too many gnoblars in my opinion, but whatever floats your boat.

95% of teens would go into a panic attack if the jonas brothers were about to jump off the empire state building copy and paste this if you are the 5% who would pull up a lawn chair grab some popcorn and yell JUMP BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am both selfish and instinctive. I value growth and community, as long as they favour my own objectives; I enjoy nature, and I particularly enjoy watching parts of nature die. At best, I am resilient and tenacious; at worst, I'm uncontrollable and destructive.

I'd also be curious about where you're putting the butcher and the tyrant... they're juicy targets right now. That's a good point and worth addressing!

Gnoblars are cool, and they're cheap anyway. If you want to go shooty, why not go whole-hog? I know the ogres have shooty units (is it the hand cannons mentioned above?) and you could have these, perhaps instead of the giants as mentioned above.

If you had points left, maybe upping those units of bulls to protect your heroes, if that's where you're putting them?
