Hey everyone. I've been playing WE for a while now with a pretty good record at 1,000 points, but I don't seem to be able to make a list that works at 2,000+ points. Just hoping that some of the more experience WE, and WHFB players how me what a good WE 2k list looks like.

Here's what I have to work with:

-Highborn on Dragon
-Noble with Greatweapon
-Wardancer Noble
-2 Spellsingers
-2 Brancewraiths
- 50 Dryads
- 20 Glade Guard
- 5 Glade Riders
- 4 Treekin
- 10 Wardancers
- Treeman

My only request is that you keep the wardancers in the list.

Thanks!

How about?

Highborn
dragon, stone of crystal mere, spear of twilight, murder of spites, LA, shield = 556

Noble
alter, hail of doom, helm of the hunt, LA, GW = 156

Spellsinger
2x dispel scrolls = 140

5x Glade Riders = 120
2x10 Glade Guard = 240
3x8 Dryads = 288

x5 Wardancers = 90
x5 Wardancers = 90

Treeman = 285

Total = 1965

Leaves you with 35 points, I'd say throw in 3 more dryads. That would put you one over though.
It really doesn't suit my style of play, I think RiTides might have a better list for you when he sees what you have.

You've got a lot to work with, in my opinion! You can definitely field what most people run for core, I think- what boogeyman listed out above looks good for it. I've had trouble using my wardancers so far- do you run them as one larger unit, or two separate ones? It sounds like you've got a lot more experience with the army than I have- for some reason I've had trouble at the lower point levels, and done a little better at the higher ones.

This could be that I hear glade guard are very devastating at low point levels, and I don't use any... but then at higher point levels I've got an unbalanced close combat list, and can sometimes overwhelm the other army with units.

I think you have a very balanced list- my concern with what boogeyman posted is that you have a great hammer (dragon) but no anvil- since wood elves really don't have a center. What about this list with no dragon?

Treeman Ancient, Cluster of Radiants, Annoyance of Nettlings- 375
Noble, alter, hail of doom, helm of the hunt, LA, GW = 156
Spellsinger, Lvl 2, Calaignor's Stave, Scroll- 175
Spellsinger, Lvl 2, 2 Scrolls- 175

5x Glade Riders = 120
2x10 Glade Guard = 240
3x8 Dryads = 288

5x Wardancers = 90
5x Wardancers = 90
4 Treekin = 260

Total = 1969

You could add in some upgrades to your core and wardancers (like musicians). I'd be tempted to try to squeeze it for another unit of dryads.

You could cast treesinging a bunch with this list, which has really helped me against big nasty blocks at the higher point levels- they can't hurt you if they're blocked by a forrest! The Treeman Ancient has also been an all-star... it's really hard to kill him with the Nettlings.

What kind of lists have you taken at 2K and how have the games gone? I could probably learn a lot from your attempts so far
