Here's a unit I've been working on for a while. My Ork army; Da Dezz'urt Ratz, is my own little successor klan of the Blood Axes. As a result, they're a bit sneaky now and then. Here's my unit of 14 kommandos (since there's not room in my case for a 15th!) My big deal with my army is that there's no metal whatsoever, so I kitbashed my own Kommandos from the Ork boyz, stormboyz, and burnas sprues. Let me know what you think!

Very simple, very effective kitbash. I like it, and may use the same ideas when I wanna flesh out Snikrot's gang into a full 15-ork strong mob.

Some of the pics are a lil blurry though, so I cant see as much detail on the paint job as I'd like to, but so far good job.

I need to get a better camera and some good lighting - I've just been using the world's most ghetto lightbox (IE - 3 pieces of printer paper propped up against walls of paint bottles) and two lamps. Glad you like the kommandos though!

Very nice looking! Although not all of the Orks look as sneaky as other ones, for example the shoota kommando in the first picture (makes me think, shootas on Kommandos, wut?) or it can be the pictures fault.
Very nice looking for only kit-bashing still.

I put a shoota on him just because I thought it looked pretty cool - I was trying to make him look "proppa" with the kepi, comms pack, and such. He's trying to look like a Guardsman but not doing a great job! I'll agree that not all the kommandos look their sneakiest though. It's kind of hard to be sneaky when you've got a flamethrower though

Those are looking great, SRM. I love the ork with binoculars. I did something very similar with one of my Kommandos, and I'll definitely take a lot of inspiration from your mob when I finish out the unit. Good stuff!

The Battlewagon sprue was surprisingly useful for this unit. Definitely got a good amount of mileage out of the kaptain head, pointing arm, and those binoculars.
