Do you pain the interior or your rhinos and land raiders?
Yes, because I love the attention to detail
Yes, because I have ADD
No, because who's going to look inside those things, anyway?
No, and I glue the hatches shut
I'd like to, but it gets in the way of me getting something on the table to play

As I'm gearing up to start Blood Angels next month, I'm curious as to whether people like to paint their vehicle interiors or not. Feel free to elaborate on your answer!

I tend to paint them. It's unlikely that anyone else will ever see the detail there, but I know it's there... I think I need the OCD option really.

Just a handful...

I have so far, I just chaos black prime and then a metal drybrush

I dont want to glue the hatch closed and while this is anything but a stellar paint job its stops it looking crappy.

You cant really see in anyway so no point in going overboard, IMO of course

Yes, I did the interior of my vindicator, and I'm still debating whether or not to glue the Demolisher shell to the floor or not. If I had more of them I'd build a pyramid of them...

Edit: Oops, you were talking about Rhinos. Many profuse apologies...

Really, it can be any vehicle that has an interior(and Demolishers are built on rhino chassis after all)

I agree with the OCD comment. I paint the interior cause I will know if it is not painted and it would bug me

I have enough trouble getting myself to paint the exteriors of my models as it is, never mind doing the interior. (Although my excuse is the freaking cold, and my dad not wanting me to paint indoors...)

It's mainly a matter of nobody ever seeing it. Although I don't actually glue the top hatch shut - that way, I don't have to flip my Rhinos when they go belly up, they can just be weapon-less with the hatch open.

My land raiders have fully painted interiors but since they're fully magnetized the interior can be seen so it's not a complete waste.

Hm, I was trying to get out of the OCD group but I think I just got further in...

While I've got a touch of OCD, it actually gets me to NOT paint the interior of vehicles. Reason being is I've seen several hatches that simply do not close completely: the Land Raider assault ramp in particular is guilty of this on most models, and I can only imagine it getting worse if you add the Forgeworld doors. That, and I'm so paranoid about my models breaking that having a bit that can swing free seems to be asking to have one snap off, so I just avoid the problem and lock the thing down so that they're not moving.

Only one I would probably keep open is a drop pod, simply because of the rulings, and those doors are pretty darn sturdy.

Slightly OT but, I paint the interiors of my Chimeras and Valks. I like all the added details and pretty colors.

As if on cue, you hear two people singing from the stairwell, and the door is opened and a pair of very smelly, very dirty guardsmen stumble in, completely drunk, and covered in vomit, and immediately collapse unconsious on the porch. You drag them to their beds, realising that they will not be waking up for some time.

I would do any interior, but only because I would feel like a lazy ***hole if I didn't do it.

Getting my broom incase there is shenanigans.

I have painted and even heavily converted on rhino interior...

So I know for a fact that no one ever sees it. You are better off just gluing the doors shut and call it a day.

My land raider doors are even glued shut..

Back when I used to care about modelling a little too much I did it. unlike blackmoor people even saw it.. but its still not worth it.

I did paint the interiors of one rhino, two drop pods, and my land raider, I glued my vindicator closed. Like so many others, if I look at the outside and I know the inside isn't painted, it does't look right, even if the door is closed. I'm phsyco. Sad thing though that hinge inside the land raider that make the doors open together and stay closed apparently broke inside so I may glue the doors shut now, it survived 3 years .
