Is this unit prepared for a nids-nids duel?

32 T6 wounds at 2000pts...seems a little few. Tyrants would possibly fall on turn 1.

I would drop termagaunts and by those Zoanthropes a spore pod. Those pods are awsome imho

What is the point in 2 Zoeys with no pod? Will they ever survive to be in range?

No adrenal for the Tervigons seems a waste and onslaught doesn't really have anything it will benefit.

What is the point of the scything talons on the Tyrant with Old adversary? Might as well give him some guns.

I don't really like this list personally, mostly because with my nids I have all of them outflanking and about 3-6 spore pods coming in, so I have Hive Commander on my Flyrant that I use as a character killer.

People need to understand that Zoanthropes = Spore Pod, unless you're playing on a 2" by 3" table

Tervigon = Catalyst instead of Onslaught

I really like Tyranid's Heavy Support choices now so I take a Trygon and/or Mawloc in my lists.

You could drop 1 Hive Tyrant so that you can make one a character killer. Wings so he can close in fast, Implant Attack & Bonesword for Instant Death, and if you want you can add Acid Blood just in case they don't die after you smash em. -Old Adversary too & add Devourers for a ranged shooting attack.

They shall be my finest warriors, these men who give of themselves to me. Like clay I shall mould them, and in the furnace of war forge them. They will be of iron will and steely muscle. In great armour shall I clad them and with the mightiest guns will they be armed. They will be untouched by plague or disease, no sickness will blight them. They will have tactics, strategies and machines so that no foe can best them in battle. They are my bulwark against the Terror. They are the Defenders of Humanity. They are my Space Marines and they shall know no fear.

What bio weapons has the tyrant got? If they've got talons you re-roll anyway because of old adversary. I would replace these with two pairs of devouers so you've got anti infantry fire power, it makes up a lot.

Zoanthropes need a pod to get into range or will get hammered as they're a high priority target.

I would personally drop those shrikes and go gargoyles and use them as a bullet shield. Shrikes are too expensive for that.

As everyone else has said, SPORE! Zoanthropes really need them, they really only fill the role of a one hit wonder and this will help them achieve that, if they are footslogging it across the board, watch as 4-5 lascannons or similar high strength weapons come their way.

Onslaught needs to be replaced with catalyst because to be honest FNP is just too awesome to let slip by.

Either replace you HT weapon loadout or change from Old adversary to Hive commander.

Shrikes in my opinion are only really good for plugging synapse holes and a 5+ save for a 45 point model is useless, 2 units firing bolters at them and they are gone. Fill their slot with gargoyles, their better per point at soaking up small arms fire.

I've heard alot of people like toxin sacs on hormagaunts because they can then wound anything on 4+, but i prefer to have more bodies on the board. For 160 points you are getting 20 hormagaunts, for 150 points (10 less) you get 25, which means 5 more bodies to expend, and 10 more attacks to put into enemy lines.

Onslaught really benefits the hive guard. Being able to run puts their threat range out that much further, and having your hive guard be out of range really really hurts. You need them to be constantly opening up transports, or at least prevent them from shooting at you.

Catalyst far outweighs onslaught in almost any situation, and both are too expensive.

I agree, about the Shrikes. If you want to Fill in your fast Attack slots I'd say go with Ravaners with RC, as they have a huge threat range, or Gargoyles for a cheap screen.

Mercer is dead on about the Devourers on the HT, they pack quite a punch.

SPOD the Zoeys for sure.
