Will GW ever release a box of plastic honour guard? So you don't have to buy Calgar to get them, and so you can have them in other chapters.

I wish they would, recently they seem to be releasing a bunch of stuff I'd never use, but I'd really like some Honour Guard parts for conversions.

They'll probably make it into plastic eventually. Any time soon, though? I wouldn't count on it.

Possibly with the next codex revamp. I wouldn't expect it any time before that, though.

So it'll be at least two months...

To reiterate, yes, they probably WILL make a plastic Honor Guard set.

As noted, probably in time for the next major re-release of the Space Marine Codex.

So, maybe 3 to 5 years from now?

BUT, there are PLENTY of awesome plastic Marine sets out there (with more coming in April with the Blood Angel releases), so, really, it isn't too hard to make something NOW...

I don't think they really need a dedicated kit. For my Honor Guard squad I just did a simple kit bash with the command squad set and some bits.

Well, I don't feel like waiting 3-5 years, but I wanted to make my SM with Honour Guard helmets, since they look cool. But unfortunately, they are only in metal, so I can't get the 20 or so I'd need.

I really only need the helmets though.
