OK here we go 1750 tyranids list for a tournament in two weeks.

Is the prime going with the hive guard?

I am not a fan of the HVC, I would rather run every turn with all the MCs than have the tyrant be slowed down firing his underpowered but costly gun.

I think if you drop the HVC you could put some weapons on the pods, which will be more useful I think.

Also, I would like to know how your performance with 3 tervigons has been? 2 seems to be plenty for most situations, but the tervigon is pretty awesome. Still, a tervigon + 10 gants is 270 points, which is 2 more zoans and 6 stealers + broodlord/10 stealers.

What is the point in the Prime? No warriors for it to buff. It should be taken in a unit of shooty warriors or not at all. Other than that the only use for it is to take ID wounds for footslogging Zoanthropes or as your manditory HQ in a swram list.

Bonesword on the Tyrant Guard is maybe a few wasted points. Bonesword and lash on the Hive Tyrant is a total waste, drop Old adversary and the bonesword and lash give him 2 scything talons and give the Guard lash and you'll get the same effect for vastely fewer points. HVC is rubbish what on earth would you fire it at? It is useless against vehicles, useless against heavy infantry and to small and effect for too many points to be fired at hordes, so what exactly would you fire it at?

Your elites I like they are good.

You've gone for Tervigon spam in Troops which means SW basically auto win against you (but they practically do against any Tyranids these days). However I don't mind tervigon spam and was playing around with the idea myself. But if you're going to do it commit to it you need at least 4 Tervigons preferably all 5. Dump your HQ choices for 2 Tervigons or 1 Tervigon and 2 Trygons.

If you are going for a spam army you really have to commit to it with 5 Tervigons your Gants should grow from 30 to 80 in Turn 1 . If you go first set your Tervigons up right on the edge of your deployment zone and the Termagants can deploy 6 " from the tervigon and move another 6" afterwards meaning you are right on top of him straight away with 80 gants and 5 MCs backing them up.

Onslaught is also a better bet with this type of army and the gants can then run and will be in range to shoot turn 1. Catalyst isn't that great on a unit of 10 gants on a unit of 30+ it is a real benefit but most of your units will be small.

i put the prim with the zoans most of the time or with the tyrant and guard, for 110 points he wins you the game vs nob bikers. the HVC on the tyrant was 25p i had leftover, was looking 2 cut it. i love old adverary with guants and the tervs, onslaught how it works now you cant assailt anything after you hit a unit with it or shoot your other guns, only if we can assalt our own troops.... ive been a big fan of catalyst help keep your tervs up vs ML spam and tar pitting vs eldar AC. ive been test playing alot with this list for the last 3weeks vs every thing i think i will see. IG/SW give me a black eye most of the time can win tho its not fun. how ive been playing this list tho is odd for most people. ive been assalting with the guants with PE/FC/PA/FNP not much can stand an assalt from it. all i do is move+run tho with the army. so cutting the hvc ive been looking 2 put the points some where, i like the pod with the 6 str6 shots good for stunin tanks so you can get a 2 for 1 the turn the zoans come in. im not a big fan of stealers the guants do the same thing as stealers in all the testplaying ive done rending sucks with wound allocating. i added the 3ed terv late last week 2 the list had a trygon in was not happy with how it played in this list. there going 2 be 20+ people at the tournament coming up, i know there is going 2 be 4nob bikers and 2other nid players there both 5/5terv spam tho.. hope i dont have 2 play one going 2 be a long game poopin guants out. and 3eldar people, mec spam IG, and over 9000 SW players... hate SW

Prime can't go with Zoes as they are in a pod. What is the point of wasting 110 points of CC monster in a totally shooty unit? If you were space marines would you take a powerfist on your devastators?

Only with the Tervigons, the Gaunts could then be in range on turn 1, certainly if they've got devourers. Your tervigons aren't going to really carry the fight for you anyway.

Also looking at your opponents is your army selection correct? In the Tervigon Spam armies you'll lose as they'll do what you do but better. Against SWs the Tervigons will all die VERY quickly as you get owned by Jaws and your own psychic powers will be greatly curtailed.

Given your opponents I think you should really reconsider whether the Tervigon spam route is the best bet.
