Am I allowed to keep my entire army in reserve if I wish?
Or is this only in Dawn of War?
If no, what if my entire army has the capability to deepstrike? ( BA or Airborne IG for example)
I know this has probably been done to death, but I couldn't see anything on it on this page. If anyone knows another thread like this just link it, thanks.

There is no rule preventing you from putting your whole army in reserves. It's perfectly legal.
Not much more to talk about here.

Note that in DoW deployment, only selected elements (which can be none, all or some) are in reserve. The rest of your undeployed units enter on turn one as if from entering from reserves.
Common misconception.

@Macok: I thought GW rules were permissive? They have to actually say that you CAN do something, right?

Yes, and every mission has the "reserve"rule, which if you read allows you to choose to put units in reserve. It deosnt put ny limits on which units or how many units, so feel free to put any, some or none.

Yes, and the rules DO say you can. It's part of the "Reserves" mission Special Rule.

Because your opponentis playing gunline IG and has the first turn and so will blast you into pieces if you deploy anything. Putting everything in reserve can give you an advantage because it lets your own units act before your opponents units get the chance to.

If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live? |

It's not always the answer, but I don't mind reserving everything for some flavor.
That is I make sure there's not enough infiltrators to block the whole table edge Automatically Appended Next Post: To Add to regwon:
You can perform force concentration without the opponent knowing which flank you will eventually choose/apply whatever comes in on the side you get the most out of...I generally do this if I am forced to deploy first as I very much rather deploy second.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.
