I'm thinking of trying out some weathering powders on some models(mainly vehicles) and am not sure which company to buy from?

Are there any major differences in quality/use//etc. between various companies?

What is your fav source of weathering powder and why(cost, ease of use, colors, etc.)?

There's no real major difference in quality, as far as I've seen. And ridiculous as it may sound--I've found I liked Forge World's over MiG or Tamiya's. FW's weathering powders have some unique colors/shades, a bit of texture to them(which is good), they accept thinner/matte medium well(again--good. This is what you'll be using to make the 'sludge' mixtures that end up looking the best on vehicles), and what's more?

The sludge mixtures are easy to rehydrate with just a little bit of water--of which I can't say for MiG's.

Good to know. I had heard from someone that also found the FW ones superior, but he will buy anything with the GW/FW logo on it so I was hoping to see if others would concur...

Answered your own question.

I doubt there is a huge differences between the two.

There's not too many huge differences, like I said, and especially considering that Forge World's are just rebranded MiG powders done custom for FW to sell--and to introduce another aspect to the GW Hobby Scene.

And please--try not to comment on things you have no experience with, rather than just making snarky remarks about people's buying decisions.

MIG Productions make, hands down, the best pigments. But besides that fact alone, they are the best because they have the most color options in pigments, and the most accessories to mix those pigments in various mediums for various effects. Once you get into using pigments to weather your vehicle you'll discover that that's not all there is. You can then move on to oil washes, effects, and filters to add even greater detail with little effort. And here again MIG has all your needs because they make all of the best products for each stage in this process.
