I'm finishing off a Dark Angel 3d Tactical army that I've had laying around for a few years and am down to the command squad.

I have a standard bearer with a plasma pistol and meltabombs, 2 veterns with meltabombs and plasma guns and a champion with a power weapon and shield, NOW I get to white Beakie Apothecary...

What am I supposed to do with this guy? I have read through the books and am under the impression that he is another Vetern, but in the book it doesn't even deal with this guys weapons. Is there something, or am I missing it in there?

What do you all do with a lone medic?

As for the champion, Can he have a storm bolter and meltabomb as well as the shield and power weapon?

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Edit: Ignore what I said; re-edit coming soon

Re-edit: After reading the Command squad entry in the Dark Angels codex...

When you upgrade a veteran to Apothecary, Std Bearer, or Company Champion you lose the ability to upgrade their weapons. You are stuck with BP and Bolter of Chainsword on those models.

So your Standard Bearer cannot have a PP or Melta bombs, and the Champion cannot have either Storm bolter(no option for this ever existed anyways) nor the meltabombs(as he is now a Champion not a veteran).

If you use the Vanilla Marine Codex you can upgrade the various characters but then you would not get the special Dark angels rules nor the special units.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.
