Can 2 different single handed weapons be fired by the same model in the shooting phase?

Example: Dark Eldar Haemonculus fire a Destructor and Stinger in the same shooting phase.

Pg. 15 says "normally" they can only fire one weapon with no explanation of what isn't normal.

I haven't found anything "yet" that says differently.

Thanks,

Does the Haemonculus have any special rules that say it can fire 2 single hand weapons?
If not, then he can't.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

The tail end of that quote on 15 mentions an example ('Some models, including vehicles, may be able to fire more than one weapon, as detailed later.')

Basically, no, your model cannot unless it has specific special rules that can allow it (bikes, vehicles, ect.). Just having two weapons isn't enough.

I'm sure an DE player will clarify further for your specific model, I'm not completely familiar with it.

The Haemonculus is restricted to "Haemonculus Only Weapons". There happens to be a total of 3 weapons. 2 are shooting weapons, the Destructor and Stinger. The 3rd is a close combat weapon. All 3 are single handed weapons.

There's nothing that says that he can shoot with 2 of the same, or different etc.

He can be Mounted on a Jetbike. Would he then be able to shoot 2 weapons plus the bikes weapons? The bike itself is relentless, but what about the rider?

The rules are pretty clear about bikers and shooting more than one weapon.

If there are two riders you may...obviously there is only 1 rider. I remember a question sprining up about modeling a second rider to shoot 2 weapons. RAW says yes, RAI says no, and it reeks of modelling for advantedge/bending the rules that's it's almost breaking them...etc. etc. etc.

Basically: no. No 2 weapon shooting, No 2 weapon shooting on a jetbike, just no.

Things that can shoot twice:
Certain Chaos Daemon Daemons.
Daemon Princes of both flavors.
Psychers that can use more than one power generally.
Space Marine Attack Bikes.

Each has very specific rules that say they can.

Ok thanks. I was pretty certain that was the case, but wanted to make sure.

the rules actually have to say you can do something for you to do it. for a model to be able to fire more than one shooting weapon in a single shooting phase, it has to have a rule either in the codex or the main rulebook that allows it to do so. for instance, all monstrous creatures can shoot two weapons per turn because their rules specifically state they can. vehicles have a chart that shows what they can shoot in a given situation. there's no rule that says i can roll a d6 and on a 2+ i kill your entire army... so i can't actually do that.

They shall be my finest warriors, these men who give of themselves to me. Like clay I shall mould them, and in the furnace of war forge them. They will be of iron will and steely muscle. In great armour shall I clad them and with the mightiest guns will they be armed. They will be untouched by plague or disease, no sickness will blight them. They will have tactics, strategies and machines so that no foe can best them in battle. They are my bulwark against the Terror. They are the Defenders of Humanity. They are my Space Marines and they shall know no fear.

Psychers that can use more than one power generally.

Psykers are limited to only one psychic shooting power per turn, unless they are a MC or have another special rule specifically saying they can use more than one.

Playing Space Marine demo while GF was scrapbooking:
Me: I can turn it down, if the screams of dying orks are annoying you.
Her: That's ok, I love hearing the screams of dying orks.

My armies (W-D-L):
2,000 (about 1,200 painted and now I'm feeling the call of Russ) 3-4-3
2,000 (about 1,000 painted, WiP) 0-1

Note - these are all generic rules - special characters may override - YRMV

you still cannot fire the same weapon twice, even if are allowed two shoots (IE, you are a MC.)

Prime example is the HT,

MC, can shoot twice, but only has one weapon

1st shot - regular weapon
2nd shot - Psycic shooting attack

Note, they still have to be at the same target
