Does anybody know a good paint scheme to go with snow for my SW? I use modelling sand for the gravel. I would also like to add a few touches of grass too.

i use P3 paints, but the same can work for GW's paint...

drybrush in layers, starting with:

Battlefield Brown
Gun Corps Brown
Menoth White Highlight
Morrow White

comes out looking like frozen dirt, and makes a nice base for the GW Snow Flock...

check out the Logan Grimnar in my 40K gallery for an example...

hope that helps...

cheers
jah

I used a different style. Taken from an article on the GW site.

Paint the base as you like it what ever color.

Then mix pva and water till you make a good contrast of what you want, solid or wet snow. Place it on the base and then sprinkle snow flock over the globs of pva glue. I am trying it very very soon but there is a kid at my local GW, fairly new, who has done this, IT LOOKS GREAT

Here is my carnifex. I used woodland scenic snow (it's model train snow) mixed with white glue. I used the darkest GW brown (the name eludes me) with drybrushed skull white around it. I tried other models with complete snow bases and in my opinion they dont look very good.
