Nork Dedogg's rules have a problem. It says that if the Company Commander is shot by a Commissar that Nork will immediately turn and kill the Commisar in retaliation. Easy enough.....but CCS squads cannot take Commissars....they are not in the options...so what is the point of the Nork's loyalty rule if it does not apply to anything...

Can Commissars from the PCS shoot the CCS commander if he fails a Leadership roll?

Its if you have a Lord Commisar joined to a CCS

taking up the mission

If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live?

Lord Commissars are IC's and have the Summary Execution rule/

Ok, Seems like a bit of rule overkill....two more reasons for not taking the Lord Commissar or Nork Dedogg......

Any ideas why no regular Commissars in the CCS squads?

thanks!

They probably idiot proofed the CCS so that people wouldn't put a model that would cripple your army in with them. All I know is that I keep my commissars very far away from the important people, I just feed them sergeants. The commissars haven't complained yet.

This is good.... isn't it?

It's not so much a reason not to take a lord commissar (though putting them in your CCS is not the best use of the model, for sure) but it's just another reason not to take Nork. He's the most useless expenditure of points outside of Spawn.

Why did the berzerker cross the road?

Thought the fluff surrounding nork is awesome he is so damn expensive for hardly doing anything! Really sometimes I wonder why they do this, making certain things that expensive when they know they cannot make up their points worth.

It's as if you were to ask for a transport, and instead of giving you something reliable they just hand you half an ork head and say hey for triple the price of a normal rhino this one won't get you anywhere!

I used him in a game once. Just to see if he might be good. Some units you right off on paper but turn out to be good in the game, looking at you griffon, but no Nork failed miserably. And my CCS was even assaulted too so it was the time when Nork should have shined. The fact you cannot take advantage of his t5 is what breaks the deal for me. If you could allocate the first hit to him and one from your commander to him and have to roll to wound on his t5 , then I might consider him. But no you can't, so no I don't

-Any terrain containing Sly Marbo is dangerous terrain.
-Sly Marbo once played an objective mission just to see what it was like to not meet every victory condition on his own.
-Sly Marbo bought a third edition rulebook just to play meat grinder as the attacker.
-Marbo doesn't need an Eldar farseer as an ally; his enemies are already doomed
-Sly Marbo was originally armed with a power weapon, but he dropped it while assaulting a space marine command squad just so his enemies could feel pain
-Sly Marbo still attacks the front armor value in assault, for pity's sake.

Yup, he's more expensive than a unit of ogryn, and his stats aren't even that much more impressive than a single ogryn, and as Volkov noted you don't even get to take advantage of his high toughness.
