Hi folks,

I want to make some custom inserts for some round lipped 30mm bases like these:

The problem is cutting the insert to match the hole/depression in the top of the base. If it were a standard base I'd just trace the top onto some plastic card, cut and sand the edge to fit. Can anyone offer any advice for ensuring I get the size of the insert right?

Thanks in advance.
Keith

I'm IRISH!

Put the tab on the base draw around it and then cut it out. Hope that helped.

Rub some vasaline/olive oil on the base then press some greenstuff into it filling the indinted space, let it dry. pull it out trim the edges then use the greenstuff mold to make all the traces you want on the material you want to fill the indintion.

Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
the band is playing somewhere and somewhere hearts are light,and somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout but there is no joy in Mudville — mighty Casey has struck out.
