Picked up an Ionhead already assembled, and have found that one landing gear base, which is in the three slots of the bottom of this hammerhaead, was unglued and rattling around. The inside is completely encased except for the wee little opening on top for a the turrent mounting and the little rectangle for where the landing gear goes.

My problem is I want to reach the little piece inside where the landgear goes and get it somehow glued back to where it is supposed to be.

I would like to know if anyone has come across this same problem/similar problem and how they went about solving it.

Suggestions also work too.

P.S.

Here are a few pictures I tried best to show the gap I see through the Ionhead.

Aww.. did that happen with the model I sent you? It was intact and "non rattling" when I packed it.

Will tweezers fit in the hole in the top?

So, thinking about the model, there is the hole in the base where the landing gear bay should be, and the turret hole in top.. maybe get someone else to hold the model in the air and use a set of tweezers/chopsticks from above, and some plastic glue from the bottom?

2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2.

Tweezers are an idea, but the trick is to grab the sucker and apply some glue to a few areas, then deftly place it back where it belongs.

I was thinking of punching out the other two landing gear bases and simply tucking in all 3, but then I'd have a Tau maraca.

can you twist the rattling part to get it OUT of the Tank?

trying to turn it, apply glue, and re-position WHILE holding onto the tank .. that is why I was suggesting roping in a second person..
