After Blood Angels, I'm not sure what dex's will be coming out. Here is the order I think might happen:

1. Daemonhunters/Witchhunter combined (mid 2010)
2. Dark Eldar (late 2010)
3. Necrons (early 2011)
4. Eldar (mid-late 2011)

That is the order I've heard will be happening but I'm not sure. There might be others inbetween the ones I have mentioned (especially Imperium/Space Marines ones) but I'm not sure.
What have any of you heard of???

The release schedule thus far has been Marine/not Marine/Marine/not Marine, and I don't see that changing too soon. Harry over on Warseer, one of the few guys in the know, actually said something to the effect of Dark Eldar this Fall. I'll believe that when I see it, however. Summer is mostly going to Warhammer Fantasy, so I don't know about 40k releases between now and then. Inquisition has a lot of speculation around it - Stickmonkey claimed to have seen some Grey Knight Terminator 3-ups a few months ago. All we've heard on Necrons is that they're further out than Dark Eldar, and there's no word on regular Eldar. Their books come out every 5-6 years though, so I wouldn't expect a new Eldar codex any time soon.

What dark eldar new codex? I THOUGHT THEY WERE SAFE FROM UPDATES!

Try
1. Daemonhunters LATE 2010.
2. Dark Eldar NEVER
3. Necrons once Dark Eldar are done
4. Eldar whenever feels like lovin the space elves.

And no, I'm not trolling. Daemonhunters are supposedly scheduled for release during that time.

As far as Dark Eldar even getting an update: I'll believe it when I see even a sculpt of a new model.

Who knows, It seems like we've been treated fairly well, this year so far with two 40k Codices, and the battle missions book. I would think we'd have at least two more before the end of the year. Least, I hope so.

Give me 10 dedicated people who know the ins and outs of the game and we can have every 40k codex that hasnt seen a 5th ED update by the end of the year.

This update timeline that GW has is complete and utter fail/bs.

This is veryy true. However and sadly... bottom line is..its about money and its painful to think of it that way but well.. thats the truth. I imagine that getting new models out does take a bit of time and effert which I imagine is what slows things down a bit. Being gw I am sure they wouldnt ever release a new dex with out ANY new models. But even with that... It could be done much sooner but hey.. Everyone likes money right? Gotta pay the bills somehow and this is just how they do it.

Necrons are likely, Tau are happening at some point.
Dark Eldar- ummm... we shall see...

The word for Dark Eldar is 'Inshalla', meaning 'when god shall will it to be'. So you can see why I don't see DE in the near future, as there is no god but the God-Emporer himself, who would have to be crazy to bring a xenos form up to date.
