After reading the entry on Hurricane Bolters I was a little confused. It says that treat them the same as 3 twin linked Bolt Guns. So does that mean if the model (In this case a LRC) moves it can fire 6 shots at 12 inches and if it stays still it can fire 3 shots at 24 inches?

its a vehicle so it follows vehicle rules.
thus if it can fire defensive weapons by the vehicle chart it can fire the hurricanes, which means 6 shots at 24" 12 shots at 12" assuming both sponsons can trace LOS.

remember Vehicles count as "Relentless", so even if they move count as Stationary when firing weapons - this is what allows them to fire heavy weapons after having moved, for example.

Note that it is 6 shots at 12" and 3 shots at 24" inches per Hurricane bolter and they can shoot them as defensive weapons as per the vehicles rules. So that is a total of 6 shots up to 24" and 12 shots upto 12" all twin-linked.

I've had occasion where only one set of Hurricanes was within 12" while the other set was outside of 12", yet both in line of sight. I got 9 shots. Its as simple as that.
