Very nice, but his teeth look far too white for my tastes. The armour is gorgeous

I agree about the teeth. Also the base seems a little bright, maybe if you made the grass look dead that would help. Other than that, very nice.

OMG thats an awesome job dude, pretty much exactly the colour scheme i'm going to paint mine.

Any chance you can provide a list of colours and some brief words on techniques used to paint the carapace please?

Thanks you thank you.

Sure! For the base coat i used "The Army painter" Spray paint. That have a color called Human Flesh. It coats wonderfuly. Followed up with a wash of GW Flesh wash. (What's that you say? they don't make it any more? Sadly i know... I have yet to find a replacement for it that matches color. Anyhelp from anyone here would be greatly helpful as i used most of my last bottle to paint this.) After the wash sets, tou hit the raised arieas with Elf Flesh. then you highlight all the elf flesh with Bleached Bone. :-)

The Armor is Much easier. Caos Black for Base, Scab Red on bottom, Blood red on top, and Edges highlighted with Blazing Orange. :-) Hope it goes well for you! Don't forget to use 'Ardcoat on the armor to really make those colors POP! :-D

One of the, if not THE nicest Trygon I have seen!

Win/Draw/Lost statics
Space Orks: 11/1/1
Space Marines: 10/2/5
Lizardmen: 8/2/3
High Elves: 13/2/2 and one tournament victory!
Dark Eldar: 1/0/0

Come to think of it, the base isn't very grimdark - more like someone's taken trygon-rex for a walk in the park. Again, just a matter of taste though

That is the most awesome trygon I have ever seen!

The real threat to the imperium is not:

it is :
92% of teens have moved on to rap. If you are one of the 8% who still listen to real music, copy and paste this into your sig.
95% of teens would go into a panic attack if the jonas brothers were about to jump off the empire state building copy and paste this if you are the 5% who would pull up a lawn chair grab some popcorn and yell JUMP BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GENERATION 6: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

Awesome job- I see what some people are saying about the teeth, but I think it works to make a little contrast you know?

My army is better than a bear- It's like a bear times two.

Exactly, if they were dirtier it would just blend in with the skin.
Why are people tripping about the base? When tyranids arrive the vegetation on the planet grows out of control. The base SHOULD look lush and vibrant.

Amazing Job with the painting...

But...

As mentioned by others, the base does look kind of out of place. Like I walk out to my White Picket Fence yard and there's just this Trygon standing there giving me the old Salesman smile lol.

Try doing something a bit more... ravaged?

Like, even IF a Trygon managed to find it's way on to my front yard I think the ground and dirt would be tossed around and bushes pushed over, probably some slime involved. It definitely wouldn't look the same as if it was a regular Sunday afternoon

Other than that though, awesome paint job!

ooo me likey . The base hmm its good and all but I dunno if it really suites the whole big scary nid thing. Its a painting competition so the minitures the most important so it is fine .

[Looks at thread title]

Doesn't look like much of a fist to me.

But it DOES look like an excellent Trygon! Well done!

Stunning!

I'd wedge a Space marine into his mouth, but that's probably overkill.

VERY well done, looks natural. Looks real.

Love the figure, dislike the base, it definitely needs some more rubble, scorch marks, dismembered corpses or something

I agree, the base needs some changing. However, you could go the other way keeping it clean and fresh and put a bicycle on it and some eviscerated kids or something.

Paintjob is amazing. The base is good but seems a little out of context with the miniature. It seems like the Trygon has just wondered into an episode of Postman Pat

In regards to Flesh Wash, this is the original Company that made GW paints before they outsourced to China. Enjoy they are the exact same thing with a different label.
