I Ran a Howling Griffons painted death wing list in the 750 point tournament on the weekend. I converted and painted this guy up as the "belial" of the army.

I honestly didnt realise how clean I got the lines until i looked at these pics :s









Im currently painting up the Jet pack Librarian for the army. In addition i got round 1000 points of Imperial fist space marines in a trade so im currently working on a Plastic Lysander to command them. Ill have pics up of both once they are done

Plastic Lysander I would like to see. What are you doing about the cloak? That is the one thing I've found lacking from the plastic marine termies

If i can get hold of a cloak from the Chaos terminator psycher ill be using that. But untill then ill be making Him without it. Ive already done the hammer using the hand from the Khorn Zerkers kit, and im in the process of doing the shield using the icon from the Drop pod. Stay tuned.

Alrighty. Quick update time. Just finished up work on the Griffons Librarian!

(one thing i really need to do is hurry up with my custom decals so i can really Griffon these models up!)

But anyway here he is, the story behind this guy is that he suffered a HUGE perils of the warp many years back and had to have his entire face rebuilt. It also serves as his Psychic hood.









Thoughts?

I would paint the eyes and make the head look a bit more metallic, and maybe make it asymmetrical like imperial bionics tend to be.

Beautiful work there, the lines are so neat, great stuff. Would love to see some of the other models you used in the tourney.

I would say though I think the Librarian needs some work on his casting hand. He looks a little static, don't mean to cause offence but it could do with a little more movement in the pose for me personally.

Good work. The lines on the red and yellow are fantastic. Mine wouldn't be nearly that straight. LOL

I do think it could use a bit more depth. The pant is soo incredibly smoth, but almost monochromatic. A bit more shading, or some edge highlights would really make that mini fantastic!

Maybe someone can correct me here since my fluff may be off, but isn't it weird for a librarian to have an inquisition symbol on him? I thought they hated psychics?

@Million Not really that weird a lot of the Inquisitors themselves have some degree of psychic power, take Ario Barzano was himself an empath.

Another possibility is that his powers had not yet developed when he was seconded to Inquisitorial service.

I’ve just picked up a box of the new blood angels Sang Guard Ever since I saw them I had this conversion in mind for a Chapter master of my army











Its still WIP, I’m trying to work out what to do for the shoulders... Don’t really have anything that is fitting to go on the shoulders. I’m also looking for one of the new Guard sentinel smoke launchers in order to do a "Shrike" like launcher on top of his jump pack Another idea im throwing around is if i should add a "Tail" to his armour to make him look more Griffon like...

I'd def wanna paint in eyes for the librarian and posibly add wires connecting to the head out of gs just to distinguish it as sm and less Necrons since thats obviously what it is. Other than that, great job and that truly is a great paint job with those lines

I like it, I too have plans for those wings. I probably would avoid the tail, it might looks a bit wierd, you could always just "tack" it on ( pin the tail on the chapter master) to see. I think any "winged" shoulders would be a bit of overkill as well, maybe eagle head style ones, or "beak" shaped.

I really like your convertion as it stands now. Can't wait to see it finished.

The Eyes of the Librarian are painted (they are red) but the shadow from the lamp i used have it in shadow so they dont look painted. I might have to go over em a bit more though

Not being too picky, but isn't the librarian armoru supposed to be a lighter blue than that?

i dont have a libby so i'm not sure what colour is normally used. When i first saw the pic i thought it was a crosin fist conversion.

I like what you did with your chapter master thats exactly what i plan on doing with the sangunary guard minus the lightning claws.

Your chapter master is awesome! Might have to buy a box of Sanguinary Guard myself.

I've gotta say, the Librarian reminds me of the Batman villain Black Mask. Not to worry, though, that just makes him cooler in my eyes. Very nice conversions!
