With various adepticon projects finally out of the way, I got to spend some quality time with my Warmachine models. The studio scheme for these guys involved solid white, but it's really damn difficult to execute that kind of scheme without it just looking lazy, so I went with bone. The unit is the Houseguard Riflemen with the commander and standard from the Retribution line (those crazy genocidal elves). Enjoy:

Those are amazing! Great color scheme too.

Custom bases or resin?

Resin bases from http://dragonforge.com/Painting%20service/for%20sale/gaming_bases.htm . I usually don't plug stuff, but the bases were really nice and came in pretty fast. Would highly reccomend if you're looking at resin bases.

Nice painting and selection of colour. I like the bone better than the pure white of the studio scheme.

The painting is excellent.

The expression on that elf (the one you also used as your avatar) is a bit disturbing. In a good way, I mean. It exudes intense zealotry.

Nice to see some of this army type painted. Had my eye on doing some as well but turned it down (for now).

Careful with doing your eyes though. The top half of the eyeball should be covered by the eye lid, otherwise it looks like they are "surprised" or "in shock". Helps to have a bit of white under the eyeball.

Looking forward to seeing more of this army.

Currently collecting and painting Eldar from W40k.
