Giggling Nurgling

Hello there fellow nurglings! I have a few questions about basing, and adding detail to a generally nurgle themed army. Over the last few months i've come across some nice techniques, but something that i still need to learn is a good way to make bubbles fit for a standard unit base. all the methods i've come across work well for larger bases as well as vehicles but not actual units. (like say...a plague marine). Does anyone have any suggestions for nurgle basing? Another general question is a good way to make goo, i bought some standard GWS water effects, but the consistency is to thin to apply as things like dripping blood, or clear shaped goo.
Please any fun facts or tips you use in your models would be greatly helpful to a rather new nurgle player!

One of the tricks I use to make "bubbles" on bases is to get some BBs (for a BB gun) as well as some very small "beads" from a craft store, then I simply use a pin vice to drill holes in the bases of various sizes (not to big ,but large enough for the BB's/beads to fit halfway inside.
Place a bit of super glue in the holes, insert the beads/BBs and...instant bubbles.

for tiny bubbles use various pipes - eg plastic handles from a lollipop - wet the end & push gently into green stuff. Do again and again.
As for goo - the old plastic glue, the stuff that comes in metal tubes can be quitegood.
I've also seen acrylic gel medium (art supply shops) used over stretched clear sprue. It dries clear. Was used to demonstrate how to make icicles but may work for goo.

For pustules, I just roll a ball of gs then use a rounded tool to push the edges down onto the main surface. This gives the effect of a swollen, fleshlike area. You can also use a sharp point to make a very small central pore. Ore use a small cylinder (such as a mechanical pencil tip) to make it look like a cored center.
Another trick for oozings is to use thin fishing line and superglue gel. Suspend the line and build up layers of glue towards the bottom (where gravity draws it). Color can be added by ink washing when dried. This can be used for saliva, blood, etc. Clip the line from the top and glue where desired (between teeth, for example.

One of the best recipes for slime that I have found is to take some wood glue and put down a pretty thick layer. Then take superglue and pour on top of that. Let it sit for a few seconds - it will start to 'striate', hard to explain - and then drag a toothpick through it to create some detail. When it dries it looks like some really gnarled slime. Give it a shot on a spare base and see how you like it.
