Why, hi there. In actuality, this is nothing more than a quick note to get any first post nervousness out of the way, and maybe to put a couple things about me out there.
I've only come to wargaming within the past few months, another step towards, all around, well balanced geekdom. I'm currently interested in Warhammer 40k, and am attempting to build up a playable Imperial Guard force at the moment. With any luck, this site will come to be a helpful resource. From what I can tell it seems like an unusual case of a community that is both largish and not entirely populated with horrible, awful people.
Anyway, I look forward to being a part of the community!

Right now, just looking at lower point value games, no more than 1000 for a while yet. Still trying to learn the basics of the game and of the hobby in general. My plan is simply to build a nice little 500 pt. list and run with it until I get the hang of things, and then expand from there.
