Subject: Vendetta Conversion Ideas???

Ok,
So i have been perfecting an IG list that needs about 6 Vendettas to be effective.
Do you folks have any ideas for CHEAPLY converting Valkyries to Vendettas. The official Forgewold conversion kit is (as always) way too expensive and appearently the folks who are selling canabilized bits from GW boxes believe that Twin-linked lascannon sprues (or any worthwhile sprue for that matter) are more valuable than black tar heroin!
So. if you guys have any ideas for making the wings on my Vendettas CHEAPLY look cool with twin linked lascannons. I would love to hear your ideas. Also,I am more than willing to use non-GW bitz (or hardwstore parts etc) to meet my goal.
Thanks!!!!

You could use the old Chaos weapon heads on the end of some plastic tube (thin straws or hobby plastic) to resemble Lascannons.

I used then for my Traitor Guard autocannons, but you could just say they're just Gothic, not Chaos, for a loyal army.

Unless his Imperial Guard regiment is called the Black Templars I doubt that they would look right.

Probably the cheapest per-lascannon bitz order is the Terminus Ultra conversion kit:
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat300031a&prodId=prod1280042
But at £10 a pop for 4 lascannons, it's only £2 cheaper than the forgeworld kit for two less lascannons, and for a lot more work to make something that doesn't look as good.

That's only 4 lascannons - the pred LCs are two-piece.
The FW kit is great value if you don't have spare LCs lying around. You'll struggle to buy six lascannon's cheaper.

Good point, fixed. Had it in my mind that all the Terminus Lascannons were twinlinked, when infact only 3 are.
