I think there should be, It would allow for more units that are special to the grey knights, and more of a history for them, I like the Idea.

Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I Die, You are forgiven. If I Live, I will kill you." Such is the Rule of Honor.

No. No no no no no. It was bad enough with DH and WH as seperate codexes, we do not need a hundred freaking more , especially not a space marine one (yes, I know GK are not exactly like normal SM, but I speak for everyone when I say we're tired of looking at power armor)

Then it would cut itself.

In the end, SoB are uppity female canines who enjoy their faith in the emperor so much, I'd say they themselves are no longer truly human. They've given up normal life in exchange to become bolter-bitches.

Just give them more units and put them into a combined book. Mission accomplished.

I can't see this happening. GK's are not your tactically adaptable, multi-use, we do it all SM's. They are an elite & highly specialised force used to fight daemonic incurions. I feel it would be great if they combined WH & DH but a straight GK codex I have to vote down.

Well seeing the BA PDF being turned into a full army, I could see this, especially seeing as they get a Stormraven.

6000 points IG, Leviathins 8th company, (store regiment) 60% painted
4500 points Empire 80-90% painted!
2500 Ogres 2% painted
WIP Biker Battle Company 95% painted
2500 Points Isstavan Drop site massacre Iron Hands (still waiting for dat codex)
I managed to play a 1750 point game with minimal proxieing on the first day DE came out. go me!

Probably work

A GK codex would be awesome. Honestly though, I don't think they need their own; I think just an update to the DH one would do. If you compare the size of the 5th edition codices against the 3rd, you'll see that they increase them in size anyway. I think you could have a modern DH codex that had plenty of GK specific stuff to offer.

Take a highly specialized force (One enemy) shrouded in mystery, that had only a few minis then BLAMMO, water them down, allow them to become jack of all trades and have entire armies of them and their vehicle variants fighting of evil space fungus, Those Three stooges robots and anyone else who was next to someone who may have seen someone elses dogs owner who knew someone who said 'Daemon'.

I feel I must clarify. Grey Knights should be a playable option only when their are daemons or where a mission is created where their may be a taint of chaos(with an objective mini in the opposing army) Make then Apoc only or only allow One unit. either HQ or a single squad as allies.

A Separate Codex is even worse then having their shiny asses in existing publications. It's an afront to natural order!

IMO there should be GK codex and a SoB codex, then and Inquisition codex that can be taken as allies, or put them all in one codex.

They should be a part of the Daemon Hunters Codex. Make it so that people can actually choose what they want to play, radical or puritan and please, dear gods of the warp, spare us the idiocy of bikerknights or similar stuff. For those who say that Inquisitors usually stay out of battle, you are wrong! Or better, partially wrong. Some, especially those of the Malleus are noted for being quite militant.

Go for a combined Inquisition Codex, with all thre Ordo's and all three Order Militants in it, otherwise we could end up with four or more Inquisition codexes, when one will suffice

Hell no.

They Grey Knights have among their forces:

Astartes, Terminators, Land Raiders and the occasional Dreadnought.

They are very special.

Giving them an entire Codex would result in either a very, very short book, about 163 special characters, pointless varieties in transport and dreadnought (I'll take a Land Raider Brian and a Furiouso Mega Low-Carb Diet Dreadnought...) or it'd mean fething with the rather nice, simple fluff.

All of which are no-go areas for me.

And I say this as a Daemonhunters player.

Codex: Grey Knights touched me in the bad place...

Maybe it's being turned into a full codex because the army has been around since, oh, 2nd edition and this is the 1st full codex they have ever actually had to themselves?
2nd Ed was shared with the Dark Angels
3rd Ed was a Mini Dex
4th Ed was a PDF.

That is why they are getting a full codex. GK do NOT have the Broad role that warrants a Full Codex.

I think one Inquisition book would be best. That way you could have all three of the Ordos, fully fleshed out, and some fun variety in one army.

That would interest me in that army at least. I wouldn't be interested if they were split.

I voted yes but really I'd be happy with a combined dex as long as it expands the units Gk's have not restricts them which i can see GW doing, whatever it takes to get them more choices (read some decent non-vehicular AT choices) I'll be happy.

Oh and if they're gonna make NFW normal instant death give them some other way to hurt eternal warriors
