Hello all,

I am looking for some advise on how to paint a 40K Thousand Son's Daemon Prince.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Use a paintbrush!

Were you looking for something more specific? Colours? Patterns? Give us something to go off. Do you have any ideas or particular areas of concern?

Do you like this -

if so -
undercoat a dark blue then by either adding successive amount of space wolf grey or chossing lighter & lighter blues, drybrush the WHOLE model up to white (like the face & hands are).
Then use thinned-down ink washes to smooth the drybrushing, create better shading & stain the mini to a blue you like.
Add red to areas you want to be purple & blend onto the blue.
For the yellow -
Deneb Stone basecoat then wash with yellow ink or paint with yellow paint. Shade with Gryphon Sepia.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

Think Thousand Sons and Alpha Legion combined on a daemon prince frame.

In exactly the same manner/colours as your Thousand Sons marines!

Well you need to kinda make his Daemon form reminscent of a Thousand Son, but at the same time more organic and corrupted.
Keep some of the armour (the shoulder plates for example) normal Thousand Son armour. But the other parts of him should have a much more "muscly body" feel to them. The head and body i feel should be a dark blueish colour, or even gray. That will help to bring out the blue and gold of the armour.
