I am thinking of using green stuff for a mold for my Super Sculpy assembly line.

1. Can Green stuff (After it's set) be baked without any ill effects? And how many times? (275, 10 min)

2. Would super sculpy pull away from the green stuff mold? Should I Pam spray it?

Any suggestions would be great!

I don't think you need to bake greenstuff. After it's dry, you're good to go. If you did bake it, I'd imagine it'd melt. o-o

I've heard people rub a little vegetable oil in a mold before using it, so I'd imagine there is a chance of it sticking. GS is sticky by nature, and I can't imagine the oil would be harmful to the GS. Just don't overload.

Greenstuff will melt in the oven and give off some rather noxious fumes, too.

Yo don't need to bake it to set it. Let it go and it cures as a result of the two components mixing.

A thin smear of vaseline will stop anything else sticking to the GS afterwards.

1. I would say no. while it can take some heat (I've used it successfully to repair some hot water pipes in the house) it dose burn if you take a lighter to it so sticking it in a oven is probably a bad idea.

2. Its probably better to use some for of lubricant as while the GS looses its stickiness once properly hard the super sculpy will have a stickiness to it and may attach its self to the mould.

You would probably be easier doing it the other way round create your master using sculpy and then use GS to create the copy. or you could just use the one putty for both mould and copy creation.

theirs a bit about using GS moulds here http://thewraithgate.blogspot.com/2010/03/green-stuff-molds.html
