Alrighty then, I figured i'd follow proper procedure.

My friends and I started playing 40k back in the first edition, back when you could field 50 haflings with shuriken catapults and tear things up with follow fire! Or wipe out your opponent with flight packs and las cutters. Course back then we didn't quite follow the miniature representing the definition.
Things did progress once we really got in to the game and unfortunately for me I did really well. I played Eldar for years. And with a lot of luck and the wonderful stats that the Eldar had I never really lost. This is not bragging, this is my "problem"... I stopped playing for a very long time and then my nephew wanted me to get him in to playing.
I elected to go with a challenge, Imperial Guard. Tough rolling, straight forward regiments and vehicles (I never used vehicles, just wraithlords). I did fairly well against him and an old friend. But, I entered my nephew in a tournament, went and watched for moral support and had a blast! So I entered us both in next years tournament. I don't care whether I win or lose, but he really looks up to me. So I want to do well (I just want to paint, roll the dice and have fun!).
I will be posting my list on the proper forum thread. Hopefully you can have a look and tell me what you think. I'm stoked to get well read on the forum and meeting you guys... wish me luck!

How is it they live in such harmony - the billions of stars - when most men can barely go a minute without declaring war in their minds about someone they know.

Normally I would jump on blaming the dice gods. Unfortunately for me, my nephew spent the first couple of years of his gaming career rolling 1's and 3's. I have since started letting him use one of my "good" (blessed) sets of die. So I doubt he will be so forgiving.
Thanks for your response... Old scholl is right!
