Hello all. I am doing Tyranids right now, because I waited the last 2 years till the new codex came out before I started them. I need more Tyranids but my wife will not let me. . She says I have all these SM and Orks not put together so I can't have any more. So I had this idea, why not use my Orks for Tyarnids, and call them either Orknids, or Tyranorks. So I will be making my Orks and put on some left over Tyranid arms and put some clay tails and stick them on.

So when I am not using my Orks as Tyranorks, and want to use them as Orks, how should I make them? So I will put them together and glue all the gun or axes or what ever they have and then tac on the arms and tails.

I have the Ork battleforce box and Blackreach. So with that, what kind of Ork army can I make? Would that be enough for a 2010 point game? How do I make the Ork motorcyles? Is there only one way, or should I make it a certian way? What about the Trukk? I only know a bit about Dark Angels and Tyranids. When I read the Ork codex, I am lost. I don't know how to start it, so I thought I would ask here.

I am not really asking for a true army, but where to start, so I can then use the Orks as Tyranorks for now, and then when everthing is built I can buy more stuff. I am afraid when I make the Orks, and once I take off the Tyranid arms and tails, I have assembled the Orks wrong.

So any help would be greatly appreciated. If I have enough for a 2010 point army, maybe I will use that since I will not have to use counts as, unless I use the Blackreach Dreadnaught and convert that in some Orkiness fun. So any ideas you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Inside a pretty, pretty pain cave... won't you come inside?

IIRC, you have about 5 nobz, 40 boyz, 1 trukk, 3 bikes, 3 deffkoptas, and a warboss. It's probably about 850 points with normal wargear. You might be able to stretch it to 1000 points, especially if you convert the dreadnought. You have enough to be legal and have a fun time in small games (500-750), but little more than the seed of an army that could go in a bunch of different directions. I suggest you read your Ork Codex again until you understand it better, then read more threads about various army lists for different types of ork armies and tactics and decide what you want to do. With so little and no idea of your playstyle, it's impossible to make any further recommendation at this point.

Some backwater sump

Read your codex again. It's pretty simple to figure it out.

Until you said your wife wouldn't let you buy more, I had a very different picture of you as a gamer.

Ok, thanks guys. I don't know why, but when I read the Ork codex, it seems greek to me I will put them together, and hope I can still use them and not screw them up.

So I have about a small point army then eh? So it wouldn't be usable in a 2000 point army then. Ok, will finish off my Tyranid army, then I will conentrate with Orks. I will be back and ask more Ork questions later then.

Thanks again, I forgot to mention what my play style is. I like more CC than shooty, but still like to be able to shoot as well.
