Can a Tech Marines Bolster Defenses ability be used only to increase the cover granted by Ruins. Or can it also bolster other terrain features cover saves, such as a Aegis Defense Lines?

Oddly enough no, as the rule specifies you may increase the save of a RUIN by 1.
Is an Aegis Defence Line a ruin? No? then you cant bolster defences.

This man speaks the truth. Up to 3 extra dreadnoughts is better. Use the space your Techmarine is using to get some Termies or another Dread.

Heres a related question: Can a MotF (or a Techmarine, anything with a servo harness really) ride in a transport? A Razorback or a Rhino? I have heard conflicting view on this and wanted to know where folks stoof on this. Does his servo harness mean that he takes up 2 spots?
Thanks Automatically Appended Next Post: I just checked INAT FAQ 3.3 and it does not give any information about the TM & his servo harness regarding riding in vehicles. I says they can ride in them, but nothing about how much space they take up.
Thanks

They are a standard infantry model so they only take up one spot in a transport. Only models with Terminator armour take up two spots. (Terminators cannot ride in Rhino's or Razorback's either

Since there is no rule stating that he takes up more room than a normal model, he only fills one spot as normal for an Infantry model.

You should look at the rules for the conversion beamer and ask yourself, "Why, oh why (other than looking awesome), did I give him a servo harness instead of this?!"

Q: How many of a specific demographic group are required to carry out a simple task?
A: An arbitrary number. One to carry out the task in question, and the remainder to act in a manner stereotypical of the group.

I disagree, because if you have the MotF closer to the front lines (like me) you aren't gonna want that bulky weapon. However, if you use him with whirlwinds and such, he is pwnage to 9001.
