i was wondering if anyone has ever tried running an eldar list with all high toughness models, i jve been thinking about trying it but i can see it being difficult because of the lack of speed. but then again i think it might be good because i honestly dont htink of facing alot of t6 when i fight eldar so if i were goign to fight eldar i would bring alot of weps to fight t3. i like the idea of t6 troops w/3+ saves and instant death assult weps even if they are only 12" range.
HQ avatar-155
troop 10 wraithguard + spirit seeer(embolden) 386 (with spirit seer they can count as troop)
troop 10 wraithguard + spirit seeer(embolden) 386
troop 10 wraithguard + spirit seeer(embolden) 386
Heavy support
Wraithlord w/bright lance. missile launcher-155

total: 1468

depending on how you spend the points on the spirit seers powers/wrathlords weps you could potentialy for anoth small unit.
This might not be an effective list but i do think it would be fun to try out for a couple games.

the basic tatic i was thinking was to simply charge across the board while the wrath lord walked between two groups incase one of the spirit seers died, so his wraith sight would be stoped by the other groups spirit seeer. the avatar would lead the charge. ITs foot slogger charge across he board so im guessing it wont win much if at all but i am curious if anyone has tried/thought of trying this as well or if its just stupid and i should leave the idea in the trash.

Yes. I have tried it, and unfortunately it just doesn't work well. The issue that comes from the list is the fact that it not only isn't fast.. it doesn't have range. If you have one and not the other.. you can cope. The list doesn't have either. Wraithguard are shooty, and are just hard to kill, not necessarily good in close combat. This means that your kill range is.. precisely 12". Anything further and you can't shoot, and if you're in combat.. well you'll just stay there until you die most likely (which may take a while admittedly but this doesn't matter.. you're not accomplishing anything). You have 1 turn to do anything. AT ALL. It is a really cool idea, wraithguard just aren't efficient at much of anything. If they had a rule kinda like combat tactics, where they could get out of combat, and then shoot again, then yeah, it could at least function.. unfortunately there isn't such a thing. lol

I wonder how a all mech Wratihguard army would due? Have you considered that before?

foehammer- yes. But 5 firedragons just do what 5 wraithguard would do.. except better and cheaper. And you don't get wraithguard as troops unless they are 10 man.. which you can't put into waveserpents, so you would have to have more than the wraithguard anyway. I just don't see why you wouldn't take firedragons over them in the elites slot.

Well WG are T6 vs T3 but you could use Dire Avengers or even some Guardians and put them in a wave serpents for troops and get a pretty nice force. But i would have to agree with you on the fire dragons you can get two for the cost of a WG. But just seeing that many WG painted would be awesome in its own right imo.

Nids could have 50 T6 wounds at 1850, with fine shooting and screen units.

Eldarzilla is limited by FOC slots, then could hardly be effective.

I'd drop one WG unit and add two Wraith Lords and a Fortune Seer.

Why are you putting embolden on a fearless unit?

Probably because people advised him to do so, or because he has seen other people do so.

The role of Embolden is making sure your Farseer (or Eldrad) almost never fails to cast his Psychic Powers.
The above army doesn't have any Farseers though, so Embolden is rather useless.

Its not rather useless, its totally useless...

On to the list, any list like this must have fortune in it. The extra resilliance is extremely nice. I prefer Conceal on the warlock since 10 WGs leave quit a large fotprint and will not be THAT easy to hide. Enhance is another choice that some people seem to like.

30 WGs are simply too many. Get two more Lords to tag along with your Avatar and drop some WGs.

Umm,sorry to say this but...WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?!?
This list is tough indeed, but anything that ignores armour or CC is going to bring down most ofyour army
And your range is only what,12"?
Most of your wraithguards are going to be targets

Get Conceal on the warlocks and 2 Fortune Seers or Eldrad. Get more Wraithlords in there too. This type of army will really struggle at 1500 you need to go to 1750 really.
